The schedule for the 2026 Autumn Gyeongbokgung Starlight Tour has been announced.<\/p>\n

The Gyeongbokgung Starlight Tour is a special evening program that combines a guided palace walk with royal cuisine and traditional Korean performances.<\/p>\n

The 2026 autumn program will run from September 2 to October 24. Special sessions for international visitors are also scheduled from October 21 to 24.<\/p>\n

What is the Gyeongbokgung Starlight Tour?<\/h2>\n

The Gyeongbokgung Starlight Tour is one of Gyeongbokgung Palace\u2019s most popular evening cultural programs.<\/p>\n

Participants explore the palace at night with a professional guide. At Oe-sojubang, the palace kitchen, guests can enjoy traditional Korean music and \u201cDosul Surasang,\u201d a modern interpretation of the everyday royal meal once served to the king and queen.<\/p>\n

The tour then continues through areas including Jagyeongjeon Hall and its Ten Longevity Chimney, Jibokjae Hall\u2014once used as King Gojong\u2019s library\u2014Geoncheonggung Residence and Hyangwonjeong Pavilion.<\/p>\n

In 2026, a special changgeuk performance featuring a story about a king will also be presented at Jibokjae Hall. The program offers a memorable combination of palace architecture, Korean history, royal cuisine and traditional performing arts.<\/p>\n

The program will not operate from September 30 to October 4 due to preparations for another palace event.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the general sessions will initially be allocated through a lottery.<\/p>\n

August 14 at 2:00 p.m.\u2013August 20 at 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Lottery results:
August 24 at 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Advance booking for successful applicants:
August 25 at 2:00 p.m.\u2013August 27 at 11:59 p.m.<\/p>\n

First-come, first-served sale of remaining tickets:
From August 28 at 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Lottery applications and reservations will be handled through Ticketlink. Successful applicants can select their preferred date and session and reserve up to two tickets.<\/p>\n

The general booking process may require a Korean mobile phone number or Korean identity verification. Please check the Ticketlink requirements before applying.<\/p>\n

Special Sessions for International Visitors<\/h2>\n

Special sessions for international visitors will be held on the following dates:<\/p>\n

These international sessions will be offered separately from the general domestic lottery.

The Starlight Tour takes place at night and includes walking through the palace grounds. Comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the evening temperature are recommended.<\/p>\n
