From September 22 to November 8, 2026, Changdeokgung Palace will host \u201cSeongjeonggak: A Day in the Life of the Crown Prince \u2014 One Step a Day Toward Becoming King.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Through exhibitions, performances, and hands-on activities, visitors can discover how a crown prince of the Joseon Dynasty studied and prepared for his future role as king.<\/p>\n

Advance reservations are not required for the main programs.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Performance: The Crown Prince\u2019s Royal Lecture<\/p>\n

This performance recreates a royal lesson in which Crown Prince Hyomyeong studies classical texts and discusses them with his teacher.<\/p>\n

Participation: Walk-in viewing<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Special Opening of Huiuru Pavilion<\/p>\n

Huiuru Pavilion, whose interior is usually not open to general visitors, will be specially opened during the event.<\/p>\n

Dates: Tuesday\u2013Saturday
Hours: 10:30\u201316:30
Duration: Approximately 15 minutes per session
Capacity: Up to eight visitors per session
Participation: On-site registration<\/p>\n

\u203b Huiuru Pavilion will not be open to visitors on Sundays because a children\u2019s program will be held there.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Learning Activities<\/p>\n

Visitors can try traditional counting-stick games, make a handwritten bookmark, and experience VR archery.<\/p>\n

Information for International Visitors<\/p>\n

There is no separate reservation system for international visitors. However, the exhibition, Saturday performances, and hands-on activities can be enjoyed without advance reservations.<\/p>\n

The special opening of Huiuru Pavilion is limited to eight visitors per session and requires on-site registration. Visitors wishing to enter the pavilion should check the registration location early.<\/p>\n
