The popular “Saenggwabang” cultural experience will return to Gyeongbokgung Palace in autumn 2026.
Saenggwabang was the royal kitchen responsible for preparing desserts and special refreshments for the king and queen during the Joseon Dynasty. This program offers visitors an opportunity to experience Joseon royal food culture while enjoying traditional court desserts and medicinal herbal tea recreated from historical records, including the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty.

Reservations for Korean Residents
Reservations for Korean residents will be offered through a lottery system on Ticketlink.

Lottery application period: August 13 at 2:00 p.m.–August 20 at 11:59 p.m.

General booking for remaining tickets: August 28 at 2:00 p.m.
Submitting a lottery application does not confirm a reservation. Successful applicants must select their preferred date and session and complete the reservation and payment within the designated period.
The reservation information and Ticketlink booking page are currently available only in Korean.
Reservations for International Visitors
Reservation details and sales dates for international visitors have not yet been announced.
For the spring 2026 program, tickets for international visitors were sold through Creatrip. We will update this article when information for the autumn program becomes available.
Saenggwabang is one of Gyeongbokgung Palace’s most popular cultural programs. International visitors interested in attending are advised to check back for further booking information.
